• Bachelors degree in nursing with an educational plan to obtain a Masters relevant to the healthcare environment. Masters preferred.
• At least three years of true management experience in Operating Room required.
• Management experience in a large university/teaching setting strongly preferred. 
• Requires licensure as a registered nurse by the SC Board of Nursing and current BLS certification from American Heart Association or Professional Rescuers Card.
• Prior experience in Nursing Jobs, Nurse Manager positions, Director of Nursing job or Nursing Management jobs is a plus.

• RN with very solid Operating Room Management and prefer experience in a teaching hospital.
• The Nurse Manager of the Main OR reports to the Director of Surgical Services. 
• The Main OR contains – Ortho, Neuro, Otolarynology, Plastics, Oral Surgery, Peds, Peds CT, GU, GYN, Trauma Level 1, Transplant liver  kidney. 
• The Nurse Manager ensures the provision of his/her departments in collaboration with other health professionals in an environment that is respectful of others, accountable for outcomes and adaptive to change. 
• The Nurse Manager is responsible for the planning and comprehensive operations of department/unit on a 24-hour basis.
• Prior experience in Nurse jobs, Nurse Management, Nurse Manager jobs or Nurse Director jobs is a plus.
