Work Experience :
- Will consider only candidates who have hospital experience, experience with Epic and who have not functioned as a CIO.
- An ideal candidate might be a person who has been working as a consultant on an Epic project, has completed an implementation and is now ready for a permanent position.
- To be considered for this position candidates must have a Masters degree, hospital experience, Epic experience and must not have worked as a CIO.
- Masters Degree in an information systems or related field of study.
- 5 years experience managing and/or directing applications and application teams.
- 3 years experience in the hospital/health care industry.
- Extensive knowledge of data processing, hardware platforms, enterprise software applications, and outsourced systems, including Epic, Peoplesoft, Lotus Notes, BES, VMware, Citrix, UNIX, Windows Server/Client, Cisco, EMC, IBM p and i series, Apple iPhone and iPad, Android based technologies, HP blade servers, VoIP, and Avaya.
- Proven ability to function in a zero downtime environment with proven experience maximizing system availability.
- Extensive project management experience including managing large, complex, high risk projects
- Experience in strategic technology planning, execution, and policy development.
- Prior experience in Information Technology job, Technical Services jobs, informatics job a plus

Strategy and Planning

Acquisition and Deployment: Access and communicate risks associated with technology-related investments and purchases.
Develop business case justifications and cost/benefit analyses for technology spending and initiatives.
Operational Management: Conduct research to remain up-to-date and knowledgeable in regards to industry trends and emerging technologies in anticipation of new business processes and system alterations.
